## What We Do on a Roof Replacement

Before you sign anything, Jake explains the installation process at the kitchen table. Every roof gets all of it.

- Remove the old layer of shingles. We won't do overlays.
- Ice and water shield in the valleys, an added value in case of a future claim.
- Synthetic underlayment over the whole deck, which adds value in case of a future claim.
- A real starter strip at the eaves and the rakes.
- Shingles installed per manufacturer specifications using 1-1/4 inch nails.
- Replace or modify the venting system as needed or requested, with new components.
- Extra shingles ordered so the color matches if any are damaged in delivery.
- Roll the magnet through the yard and the driveway, blow debris out of any gutters, and clean the entire perimeter of debris.

## From the Call to the Cleanup

Six steps, and you talk to the same two people through all of them: Frank on the phone, Jake at the house.

1. 1 You Call, Frank Answers. Or send the form. Either way you get Frank, not a call center.
2. 2 Jake Shows Up. Jake comes out, walks the roof, and explains the installation process.
3. 3 A Number, and No Money to Start. You get a written number, and we need nothing to start. Your agreement says when payment is due. We accept cash or check. A 3.5% fee will be added to credit card payments.
4. 4 On the Production Schedule. Scheduling of delivery and installation follows after the agreement is signed by both parties. How long the install takes and when it is scheduled both depend on the weather. Material is delivered a couple of days prior and stacked on the roof if possible.
5. 5 Job Day. The crew starts early and works till the job is done. Usually done in one day.
6. 6 The Cleanup. Thorough clean up after the job, running magnets over the yard and the driveway one final time.

## Roof Replacement Questions We Get Asked

**How Much Does a New Roof Cost?**
We give you a number after a free look. The price comes from the roof's size and pitch and the shingle you pick. There is no charge to come out and no money to start. Your agreement says when payment is due. We accept cash or check. A 3.5% fee will be added to credit card payments. Financing is available. If a storm did the damage, your insurance may cover most of it.

**How Long Does a Roof Replacement Take?**
Most roofs are done in one day, depending on the pitch and the structure of the roof. Scheduling of delivery and installation follows after the agreement is signed by both parties. How long the install takes and when it is scheduled both depend on the weather. The order goes in, the supply house pulls it, we check the weather, and the material is delivered a couple of days before and stacked on the roof if possible.

**What Happens With My Deductible?**
Deductibles are required to be paid on all insurance claims, and we have financing available. Deductibles are per storm date, so if hail hits again next month, it applies again. Some insurance companies require proof you paid the deductible, such as a canceled check, before they release the depreciation. Jake walks you through the claim when he comes out.

**Which Shingles Do You Install?**
Primarily Owens Corning, and GAF on request. We offer the same products as we put on our own house. Both makers certify us as installers, which is what lets us offer the manufacturer's extended warranty, available on request. Ask when we come out and we will show you the shingle on the sample board before you pick a color.

**What Happens to My Yard?**
